Community Hall, Competition
We developed an environmental and building services strategy around the intermittent pattern of use typical of a community facility with zoning of uses and services control and a responsive 'lightweight' internal construction typology.
The design uses rooflights to bring in daylight

There is no mains gas in Sessay so we proposed a ground source heat pump with a shallow ground-array, and solar thermal panels to contribute to the hot water requirements of showers.
